What Sets These Goggles Apart? What Made Me So Impressed?

1. Soft, Large, One-Piece Seal - The TPE seal, crafted with ultraFUSE technology, fits snugly on the face. The goggles create a firm suction, ensuring safety even in turbulent "washing machine" conditions.
2. Metalized Optical Polycarbonate Lenses - These lenses provide UV protection. The Vortex Mirror goggles come in five color options, which is a big plus (black/purple, white, white/purple, lime, black/mirrored lenses).
3. QuickFit Rear Strap Adjuster - The strap is easy and quick to adjust, making it highly convenient to use.
4. Replaceable, Split Strap - The strap is not only adjustable but also replaceable, enhancing durability.
5. Protective Case - The goggles come with a plastic case, perfect for storage and drying after training. I usually leave the case slightly open to improve airflow.
6. Anti-Fog Coating - The goggles feature effective antifog protection. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they performed, even in icy water, with no fogging issues at all.
7. Visibility - A panoramic field of view to the front and sides, along with glare reduction. The lenses provide a clear image of the surroundings, and the wide viewing angle significantly aids in navigation.
8. Outstanding Design - The goggles not only perform exceptionally well but also look fantastic.

Aqua Speed Vortex Goggles – My Impressions

The first time I swam in open water with these goggles was during a winter competition in Strzeszynek. It was also my first time using the Vortex Mirror goggles, and they performed flawlessly! I’m thoroughly impressed, especially since I’ve been a long-time user of TYR SPEC OPS ver 2.0 and 3.0 goggles. I’ve also tried models from other well-known brands like Arena, Speedo, and Aqua Sphere.

I had some reservations about whether to actually swim with the Vortex Mirror goggles. Now I know it was an excellent choice. Throughout an entire kilometer in icy water, they didn’t let me down. They didn’t fog up, leak, or press uncomfortably, and the strap held perfectly. I conducted another test during the Dziwna Challenge in Wolin, and once again, under different weather conditions, they performed superbly.

Those who know me know I speak my mind, and in this case, I’ve written exactly what I think about these simple yet excellent goggles.

The Vortex goggles are straightforward yet fantastic goggles at an affordable price. They’re made from quality materials with modern design. Most winter swimmers who own this model highly recommend them without hesitation.

I’m now part of that group and wholeheartedly recommend these goggles. I hope I’ve helped some of you decide which goggles to purchase.
