No One in Poland Has Done a Project Like This Before. We gathered at the CSR WUM swimming pool to feel the open water energy before the season. Swimming around buoys over a distance of 475 meters brought great joy to nearly seventy participants from across Poland. It was the first event of its kind, but definitely not the last… Another meeting in this format is coming this fall. Don’t miss it!
What Is POWER RACE?
POWER RACE is pool swimming in an open water format, competing alongside other swimmers. A water start, the “washing machine” effect with everyone battling for position, turns at the buoys, and drafting—all of this happened during the POWER RACE. This unique event attracted swimmers well-known from pool competitions. Olympians Alicja Tchórz, Radosław Kawęcki, and Filip Wypych swam with us. Adam Dubiel, Polish record holder in lifesaving, Jakub Niedźwiadek, known for long-distance swimming, and Piotr Stanik, representing our friends from LaboSport, all showcased their skills. Among the women, Alicja Tchórz took first place, followed by Antonina Gierowska in second, and Paulina Zyga rounding out the podium.
